The crash happened on the Obiri-Ikwerre flyover in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area when the family's saloon car slammed into a stationary sewage truck parked on the road. The victims were returning home to Rumuokini after attending a church crossover service to welcome the new year.Mr. Ahmed, the father, and his five-year-old daughter, Sheila, were among those who died. Ahmed's brother, Azeez, also perished in the collision.
Reports indicate that two victims died instantly at the scene, while Ahmed succumbed to his injuries later at the hospital.Survivors, including Ahmed's son and sister, were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and remain under medical care.
