Toke Makinwa Sparks Debate: Women Cheat More, But They're Better at Hiding It

Toke Makinwa Sparks Debate: Women Cheat More, But They're Better at Hiding It.

Nigerian media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has ignited fresh conversations about infidelity with her bold claims on gender differences in cheating.

During a recent episode of her popular podcast, Toke Moments, the 41-year-old star argued that women actually cheat more than men—but they're simply far more discreet about it. "Women cheat more, but they know how to hide it," she said, challenging the long-held notion that unfaithfulness is mostly a man's game.

Makinwa went on to explain why she believes it's easier for women to stray. Men, she pointed out, often have to put in significant effort, time, and money to pursue affairs.

Women, on the other hand, are usually the ones being approached. "Do you know how easy it is for a woman to cheat? It's even easier for us," she remarked, adding examples like "work boyfriends" that many women navigate without raising suspicion. This realization, Makinwa shared, has shifted her own views on relationships.

Cheating is no longer an automatic dealbreaker for her, though she was quick to clarify she's not endorsing it. "As I grow older, I've realized it's not just men who can cheat.

A woman not cheating isn't because she can't—it's probably because she has the strength you lack," she said. Her comments have quickly gone viral, drawing mixed reactions online. Some praise her for calling out double standards, while others push back, calling the generalization unfair.

Either way, Makinwa's candid take continues to fuel debates about fidelity, power dynamics, and honesty in modern relationships.
