Witnesses say the attackers fired shots into the air to ward off anyone trying to intervene, and some locals reportedly sustained injuries in the chaos. One community source described how the ex-lawmaker put up a fierce struggle, fighting his captors for more than 20 minutes before they overpowered him and dragged him away into nearby bushes.Hon.
