Businessman Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Murder of His Wife in South Africa

A young Nigerian lady, Bukky Adepitan, has shared a heartfelt story online about how she lost a potential life partner after deciding to play “hard to get,” a move she now deeply regrets. Bukky’s account, which has sparked conversations across social media, highlights how mixed signals and delayed responses can sometimes cost people meaningful relationships.

According to Bukky Adepitan, the man had shown consistent interest in her, making his intentions clear through regular calls, messages, and genuine efforts to spend time with her. However, believing that acting less available would make her appear more desirable, she intentionally slowed down her responses and kept him at arm’s length.

She explained that the man, whose name she did not disclose, gradually reduced communication, assuming his interest was not being reciprocated. By the time Bukky realized her mistake and decided to open up, it was already too late.

“Before I turned back, he was gone,” she lamented, adding that the man had moved on and was no longer willing to reconnect. Bukky admitted that her actions were driven by advice she had heard repeatedly about not appearing “too eager.”
