In Katsina: Gov Masari earmarks N1bn for renovation of Funtua General Hospital

Adamu revealed that the Accident and Emergency ward as well as female surgical wards were completely pull down and new ones constructed.

The Katsina State Government has set aside N1 billion for the total renovation of Funtua General Hospital in the state.

Dr. Faruk Adamu, the Medical Director of Funtua General Hospital disclosed this on Friday while conducting round members of the correspondents’ chapel of NUJ on inspection tour of projects executed by the state government in Funtua.

Adamu revealed that the Accident and Emergency ward as well as female surgical wards were completely pull down and new ones constructed.

He disclosed that the hospital was completely upgraded in order to serve as a referral centre to other hospitals in Funtua senatorial zone.

“Before the renovation of the hospital by the Governor masarls administration, the hospital was completely dilapidated.

“We are happy that the hospital has started taking shape and patients are happy to attend the hospital for medical services

Adamu commended Gov. Masari for coming to the rescue of health care delivery system, in the state which was before now neglected.
