Second Republic Senator, Isa Obaro Of Old Kwara State Is Dead


 Senator Isa Abonyi Obaro, a former representative of Okehi/Okene district under the old Kwara State during Nigeria’s 2nd Republic, has reportedly passed away.

Before venturing into politics, Obaro had an illustrious career in the Federal Civil Service from 1958 to 1960 and later in private legal practice between 1963–1968 and 1975–1979.

Senator Obaro, who once served under the banner of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) representing the old Kwara South (now Kogi Central), was celebrated as a legal luminary, a bridge-builder, and a dedicated advocate for the Ebira people.

He also held key positions as commissioner in the Kwara State Executive Council from 1968 to 1975, demonstrating unwavering commitment to public service.
