The command’s spokesperson, Ahmed Wakil, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, noting that the suspect was apprehended following credible intelligence reports from a concerned citizen on November 26, 2025.
Wakil said operatives of the Ningi Divisional Police Headquarters acted on the information about suspicious sacks being offloaded at a shop owned by the suspect.

The operation resulted in the seizure of four bags containing suspected Diazepam (D5) and Tramadol tablets,” the statement read.
Wakil said the command deployed the Operation Restore Peace unit to intensify investigation and track down the suspect.
The listed recovered items from the raid included: 17,500 sachets of suspected Tramadol tablets and 487 packs of suspected Diazepam (D5) stored in sacks.
It highlighted further that the recovered narcotics are valued at about N12.2 million.
