Angry mob in Blantyre, Malawi beat up and set alight an unidentified young man for allegedly stealing the handbag which contained two smart phones, money amounting to K40,000 from a lady at Chinyonga bus stop.
According to Blantyre Police who confirmed to Malawi Star Times news about the incident, the remains of the deceased is being kept at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH).

Currently Mob justice is on the rise in all parts of Malawi as Dedza and chikwawa the practicte has been also recorded just recently.
Malawian President Mutharika says he is shocked with the recent disturbing trends of mob justice where some people have torched and killed suspects of various crimes.
Speaking in a special address to the nation Wednesday, March 30, Mutharika said he condemned the acts saying those involved in the act are destroying evidence.
"These acts are condemned in the strongest terms. May you be reminded that this malpractice is against the rule of law, and will receive the utmost attention it deserves," he said.
