MANCHESTER UNITED are hoping club legend Ryan Giggs will help persuade Gareth Bale to make a stunning return to the Premier League.
After a good debut campaign at the Bernabeu, Bale has seen his Real Madrid dream turn sour.
United are working hard on a deal to bring the former Spurs ace back to the Premier League.
Chelsea have also been credited with a serious interest in Bale, with Jose Mourinho keen to beef up his squad.
And according to The Sun, Bale and Giggs are close friends.
They note that Bale grew up idolising Giggs, and Giggs could prove to be a possible deal clincher.
The Red Devils meanwhile, are worried aboutDavid De Gea's future, and have offered a new £200,000-a-week deal.
Real Madrid however are thought to have ruled out a direct swap deal involving Bale and De Gea.
